Treating chronic and acute wounds is a medical specialty that often requires the expertise of many healthcare professionals and a variety of treatment methods. Desert Regional Medical Center has assembled a dedicated program for treating wounds. Since its opening the program has helped many patients by treating their non-healing wounds and improving the quality of their lives.

Who’s a Candidate?
The Wound Care Center offers hope for individuals with acute or chronic wounds of many different types, including:

  • Non-healing post-surgical wounds
  • Burns
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Traumatic wounds
  • Venous ulcers
  • Peripheral vascular disease ulcers
  • Wounds associated with infections
  • Threatened skin flaps
