Blood test markers

These tests are often used in patients with cancer or tumors to help determine cancer activity throughout the body. Cancers and tumors often product a protein that is found in the blood that can serve as a marker for the cancer as well as other disease.

Bone densitometry

A type of bone density test, this scan is uses dual-energy X-rays to perform enhanced images of the bone. This scan is often performed on the lower spine and hips.

DEXA scan
